Doug: I remember Chile well. Do you remember, as I do, demonstrating against the coup? It occurs to me that the experience of Chile (in the sense of the different "lessons" that radicals drew from Allende and the Pinochet coup) was influential in many people's radicalization and perception of contemporary world issues in this country and internationally.
