The list exaggerates somewhat; however, the public welfare system in
Wisconsin is changing substantially. The changes have to do with mandatory
work, job training, and time limits. I can't recall if the new system: W2
(for Wisconsin Works, we were settled by Protestants you see) abolishes
AFDC or not.

As for the other claim, corporate welfare is alive and well. A new sales
tax district was established to pay for a new stadium for Milwaukee
Brewers, and public funds were appropriated for the construction. At the
same time, aids to mass transit and assisted living for the infirm were
cut.

Go figure.
