Based on a broad interdisciplinary search into societal modernity, Adorno endorses the Utopian negativity of the modernist avant-garde (Beckett, Proust, Kafka, Berg, and Mahler) as an aesthetics of redemption in the face of totalizing delusion. Michael Brinitzer, a practicing architect, teaches "Ideologies of Space" at Pratt Institute. Suggested tuition is $35.
