Indisputably on your side, huh, Gene.  I notice you never respond to any of the points
I make, but simply content yourself with contrary, unsupported assertions.  I'd say
you're not holding up end of this thing, which, I sense, is coming to the end.

I'll begin to think you have any idea what you are talking about on this point, when
you explain how the capital costs of T&D lines and a small amount of related O&M can
be greater than the capital costs of the generating plants, all fuel costs of
generation, and the larger share of O&M (since it is the generating plants that must
be operated and maintained, much more than T&D lines!).

One thing though.  The fiascos in Calif. can take a nice chunk of the credit for
slowing down the federal push to deregulate nationally.
