The audience howls, and Rush just fumed. Later, Letterman asked Rush, "Do you ever wake up in the middle of the night and say 'I'm just a bag of hot air'?" Again, Rush was silent. Since then, he hasn't appeared anywhere where he doesn't control the agenda.) Liberals are terrible on talk radio because they're too polite, too afraid of conflict, and they're ideology is too boring. Radicals could do much better; class war would play fine if done with a sharp tongue and wit. But we're not allowed on.
