No, Rush doesn't allow dissenters on his show; all his calls are screened.
When people squeak through, he hangs up on them. He can't debate anyone
seriously because he has no idea what he's talking about. David Letterman
humiliated him, and the bloated gasbag was speechless. (Two examples: Rush
described Hillary Clinton as looking like the hood ornament on a Pontiac,
whatever that means. Letterman's response: "Oh and you're such a
fine-looking specimen yourself." The audience howls, and Rush just fumed.
Later, Letterman asked Rush, "Do you ever wake up in the middle of the
night and say 'I'm just a bag of hot air'?" Again, Rush was silent. Since
then, he hasn't appeared anywhere where he doesn't control the agenda.)

Liberals are terrible on talk radio because they're too polite, too afraid
of conflict, and they're ideology is too boring. Radicals could do much
better; class war would play fine if done with a sharp tongue and wit. But
we're not allowed on.
