        Would they?

Michael Etchison

No, Michael, we do not have a formal rule. Instead we count on the courtesy
and good sense of the participants. To deny someone access to pen-l
would no more be an infraction of freedom than to ask people not to join
in on a personal telephone call.

This is a progressive economists list. While we differ, the list is
intended
to be for people who want to rectify the deficiencies of our society by
moving
beyond a market society.

Progressives do not have much space allocated to us in this society. Thus,
intrusions
can be unwelcome. In addition, our time is limited. Finally, some of us
pay by the
message.

I can and do learn, at times from conservatives, but at my own convienece.

I hope that you understand.

I think that I speak for the majority of the list in this respect. If not,
I am sure to hear
about it.
