Dear all, I am currently finishing my studies in International Economics at Portland State University. I would like to pursue graduate studies in Cultural Economics. Unfortunately, this field is not very well known and I haven't found anyone to share my ideas with, although I'm sure they've been talked about before. One of them being that culture is transmitted to a society largely through a political figure or ideology and not as Marx asserts, the mode of production. I would greatly appreciate any feedback and critique on this, as well as suggestions for a graduate school here in the US for this type of study. Thank you, Fumie Hayashi ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
