Anwar Shaik's "Laws of Production and Laws of Algebra: The Humbug
Production function" in Review of Economics and Statistics, 1974 complete
with a Solow reply and Shaik's "Humbug II" in Ed Nell ed. " Growth
Profits and Property" Cambridge press, 1980 are classics oin on this
stuff which I think may be highly relevant to your questions.
