This is correct, PLUS, the Republicans are now attaching anti-abortion
language to all kinds of non-related legislation. This has two effects, every
piece of legislation now has to be viewed as potentially anti-choice (and imho
anti-female) and legislation which might actually be friendly to poor people
of any stripe may also be used to attack choice issues which benefit women who
can't pay high priced doctors to safely perform abortions.
