Marx did not explain the features of a future socalist state in details.
The only state he came closer to defend was Paris Commune. Lenin's view of
the state derives its interpretation from a close reading of 18th
Brumier and Civil War in France in _State and Revolution_  as everybody
acknowledges.. Lenin SUPPLIED Marxism with a theory of the state, and
this was his CONTRIBUTION to marxist thinking.
