I'm assuming that General Lebed is not the sort of person one might fear in this case -- that he is too established, with too much at stake in things as they are to really shake things up. And anyway, he is associated with some failed military exploits, no? I guess I'm thinking that the Hitler-parallel, if such exists, would have to be younger and more obscure at this point. Am I underestimating Lebed here?
