Last night, thanks to insomnia (8^], I heard International Question Time on 
the BBC World Service.  One of the guests fielding queries phoned and 
e-mailed in from everywhere was one Tajudeen Abdul-Rahim, a Nigerian based 
in Uganda and heading an NGO called, I think, the Pan-African Movement 
(or Union).  This org, which I suspect actually exists beyond the person
of its secretary-general, has the objective of Africa as a single 
politically and economically integrated polity.  A stunning idea when seen
against the pathos of the existing continent, but is it possible?
