While I'm in no position to judge (I don't know the forces such as they are
in Cuba for/against such possible directions), my fear is that the pending
"transition" to post Castro Cuba might foreclose on the latter.  Anyone know
about who might be pushing for the latter -- development of new technologies
that engender self sufficiency -- in Cuba?
