Maybe. If this oddity did break the surface, it was probably covered by
the fact that Ames's wife was a Latin American heiress (or do I have
my spies mixed up?). In any case, since Ames the lookout for obvious
wealth discrepancies must be much sharper. However, thanks to the
general decadence of capitalism it's never been easier to hide money.
