GM still makes lots & lots of vehicles. Its finance subsidiary, like
Ford's, makes most of its money by financing the purchase of those
vehicles. GE Capital is another story; it ventures into all the thrilling
financial precincts.

Didn't Henry Ford say once that he wasn't in business to make cars but to
make money?
