U.S. imperialism includes a military base on Cuba and 10 of thousands of troops in
Korea still. All of these years the U.S. has claimed that Cuba's militancy was
evidence of "dictatorship" and all the while the U.S. has had a military base ON Cuba.
The level of mendacity of the "story" rationalizing U.S. foreign policy is world
historic.

Someone (Jim Devine?) on PEN-L mentioned the US government's treatment of
Japanese-Americans during the WW2 (herding them into concentration camps).
In contrast, I must say that the Yugo government looks far better,
esepcially given the fact that Japanese-Americans (unlike the KLA) were in
no way engaged in armed aggressions against the US government.

Is the US government now putting into effect the proposal to transfer
20,000 Albanian refugees to the Guantanamo detention camp? A replay of
American generosity toward Haitians during another humanitarian
intervention!

Will there be any left-over socialist Albanians who wear Che Guevara
T-shirts + sing the Internationale to spite Americans at the US Naval Base?

No saviour from on high delivers
No faith have we in NATO or America
Our own right hand the chains must shiver
Chains of hatred, greed and fear

Or will America screen refugees to make sure no undesirable will land on
the US-occupied territory, even in Cuba?
