Whichever capitalist political gang ends up on top out of this electoral
circus, the big farse,
the working masses will be under attack , more austerity, cuts, speedups,
policing, etc.
In fact this 'bi-partisanism' is the order of the day by from most the
rich as a whole.
But then why does Joel think that it would be better if the masses are
Bush-whacked
rather than being Gored? If the Democrats are in executive power and there
is a big systemic crisis , the
masses might see thru their assaults for capital more clearly and turn on
the system . Many
workers know the Bush and co. are at the service of big business. Most the
illiusions are still
in myth of reviving some kind of Rooseveltian neo-populism , even though
this is not an option for the
US rulers in this period as their crises deepen worldwide.
I realize that some say the GOP in the executive will send more masses
into action sooner-- re:
the experience of pro- Clintonite-lib-lab expert control over things for 8
yrs.
More masses are wise to the GOP gang , the main myths/addictions they
can't kick are in the Democrats.
If both bosses parties were more exposed (pun intended) the workers might
look more tobuild new forms of
political opposition, new mass organizations , like class struggle ones to
better defend their terrain/interests.
