Just for the record, since Jim directed this
at me, I would note that the end of my missive
raised the possibility of Dubya doing a
"Nixon in China" routine, especially in light of
the apparently increasing interest of US capital
to get into Cuba.
      If Gore wins, he obviously will feel very nervous
about messing with any interests in Florida.  But
maybe Dubya figures he has things under control
there with Jebbie in charge.  And, hey, it will be like
Clinton's screw jobs on the left.  Where will those
poor Cuban-Americans have to go?  Gore?  (Maybe,
and fear of losing Florida might well keep Dubya in
line with those crazies also).
