Reader/Lecturer in International and Political Economy Applications are invited for a Readership/Lecturership in International Political Economy. Applicants should have a broad training, including a PhD or near completion of a PhD, in an area relevant to International Political Economy, a successful publishing record, and a good record in attracting research funding. A research interest in global governance and the changing historical structures and practices of the world economy would be an advantage. Teaching currently consists of an International Economics course in the MA in International Studies and Diplomacy, a full-fees course for those seeking careers in some aspect of international affairs. The successful applicant will be based in the Department of Economics and will also be expected to contribute significantly to the development, management and research profile of the new Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy. The appointment will be at Lecturer or Reader level depending on qualifications and experience, for five years initially from 1 September 2001 on the Lecturer A scale (£18,731-19,482-20,465-21,435- 22,245-23,256 pounds p.a.), Lecturer B scale (24,227-25,213-26,216-27,222-28,275-29,332- 30,967 p.a.), or Reader scale (37,665-38,620-39,718 p.a.), plus 2,134 p.a.
