I want us to be careful here.  I was going to comment to Karl before, but
resisted the temptation.  While I found myself in agreement with much that
Karl said, I wondered if I could communicate with anyone whom I know in
such terms.

I think that it is important for us to develop the ability to communicate,
to learn to speak the language of non-leftists, even if it is to
communicate leftist thoughts.

I don't know what the long term outcome will be, but over and above the
loss of many innocent lives, the short term result will be salvaging
Bush's deteriorating political career, along with the worst of the Repugs.

On another level, so many interesting things are happening in the economy,
that I suspect that we would have a great deal to learn.
