This is a finely crafted intervention that carefully avoids making any kind of vulgar ideological stance of the sort that we know is *so* pass� in these postmodern times.
So, we don't really know what Doug thinks about anything. He refers to "some Israelis". For all we know, these could be purveyors of the sort of Zionist tripe that is stinking up the Internet, but he is simply passing it on to us in good journalistic fashion. However, he does tread dangerously close to siding with them if you pay attention to his last sentence "They may be right." Of course, he is savvy enough to throw in that "may".
