PEN-L:

Greetings. In S.F. on Jan. 18, we waited with thousands of others over an hour in front of the Southern Pacific Company building for the march to begin. The chill from the shade and wind didn't dampen people's spirits one bit as we marched up Market St. Overall, it took us three hours to get to the Civic Center.

The good folks at Sacramento-Yolo Peace Action said that 17 busloads of people from Sacramento and Davis went to the S.F. anti-war rally. Plus, there were a total of a dozen buses from communities east of Sac. (Nevada City and Placerville).

Next up on the anti-war front here is a Feb. 15 rally at the State Capitol. More info at www.sacpeace.org.

Here's an article I wrote for Common Dreams on what some young people participating in the anti-war movement have to say about it: http://www.commondreams.org/views03/0120-07.htm

Regards,
Seth
