Title: reckless speculation

It's getting close to the Bushwackers' self-imposed deadline to formalize their decision to wage full-scale war against Iraq, but more and more (including France, with a veto in the Security Council) are saying that arms inspectors should be given more time and many more are saying that a UN okay is needed. The Bushies are impatient for war partly because the later they start, the worse the weather will be  -- while the "revenge for 911" rationale is wearing very thin.

So what's an administration to do?

I predict that something like the following will happen: people dressed as Iraqi soldiers will kill a bunch of UN arms inspectors, justifying immediate attack.

Christopher Hitchens will lead the charge, of course.
