Just home after attending the rainy, wet anti-war demo in San Francisco, where thousands of people marched to protest the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq. The march began at the Civic Center and ended at Delores Park in the Mission District. I’m sure attendance would have been larger with drier weather. On the bus to and from the demo, people announced upcoming local peace actions, and talked about what the U.S. peace movement should (not) do now, and why. In all, it was an encouraging afternoon.
