The Department of Economics invites applications from broadly trained
economists for a full-time tenure track position at the assistant professor
level in a small, dynamic department, starting in September 2004. Ph.D. and
teaching experience are required. (ABD considered if the degree is expected
by September 2004.) Preferred areas of specialization are International Trade
and Finance, Economic Development or Comparative Economic Systems. Teaching
responsibilities will include both lower division and intermediate microeconomics.
An active interest in research and publication is expected. Research specialization
should focus on a major international public policy area. Please send transcript,
curriculum vita, three letters of recommendation, a sample of research,
statement of teaching philosophy, student teaching evaluations, and other
evidence of teaching effectiveness.
