I am one who is convinced that scarcity of oil represents a crucial bottleneck -- but not as serious as water.
I do not think that the existence of such scarcity will be decided by any debates here. David might have said though that my people, myself included, thought that the oil scarcity was convenient in hobbling US's rivals -- esp. Germany and Japan.
