>>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 03/16/04 12:07 PM >>> Frankly, I don't think it is of much use to have such debates/discussions at all. They certainly don't take place on Marxmail, which has certain assumptions in place. I wrote some comments on the SSC but perhaps should have not cc'd pen-l where they would obviously piss people off. In any case, Michael, why don't you write a 5 or 6 paragraph presentation of your political ideas rather than asking pointed questions to me. Or is that considered the sort of uncool thing that only mantra-reciting 'revolutionaries' like me are susceptible to. Louis Proyect <<<<>>>>
believe it or not louis, my comments/questions re. revolutuonary socialism were not about/directed solely at you ... re. your comments about ssc, i wasn't pissed off, maybe some other folks were, i noted option to scc that existed for short time... only question i asked you was for some info on fdr/browder connection, didn't realize it was pointed... re. cool/uncool, how hell would i know, i live in orblando... re. my political ideas, i've been posting them to various e-lists for decade or so, in nutshell, i'm for eliminating general causes of human unhappiness, chief among them is doing away with market in labor, i'm actually maximalist in that i think 'big goal' offers means to measure movement towards/away from, i also think that there are 'reformist' reforms and 'radical' reforms, former props up capital while latter intrudes upon it, as for political strategy to accomplish anything, well, i guess i'm at a loss, i keep plugging away at certain things with some others, were able to get orblando's government to enact living wage (albeit, less than what we proposed)... michael hoover
