Ironically, that may actually be an improvement for Hamdam, since it's
better than indefinite inprisonment.
Sadly, his status as an "enemy combatant" hasn't changed, so he's going
nowhere in 66 months.
Actually, the sentence is for only five months, since 61 of the 66
months have already been served. It will be interesting to see what
President Obama does then, since Hamdan was *acquited* of any charges
that would make him a "combattant" and convicted only as "giving
material support to terrorism."
