Regarding Whole Foods, I had a couple opportunities in Las Vegas to chat with CEO John Mackey. During one conversation, a number of people came up to him and told him how much their families loved shopping at Whole Foods -- the shopping experience rather than the actual product seem to be what excited them. He said that Saturday was the busiest day because people brought their whole families to shop.
His libertarianism seemed to have an almost religious quality, but I never got around to asking whether it would extend to the foreign affairs adventurous of Bush administration. He took the competition from Safeway and the other grocery stores quite seriously. _______________________________________________ pen-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l
