I did not generalize. I just gave a counter example. It is a very
well-known tool used in mathematics to refute generalizations. If you
can find a counter example to a mathematical statement, then you
proved that the statement is incorrect.
But a single instance disproof works only against a *universal*
statement (one put in terms of "all" or "none") It does not work
against a *generalized* statement (one put in terms of "most all" or
"very few").
