I am of the mind that the Gaza incident was engineered by the Israelis to "test" Obama. Clearly, W is of no consequence at this point ( can you have a lame, "lame duck") and the question for the Israelis is: what is Obama's "real" position on the situation or, in other words, how will Obama treat Israeli aggression in the future?. By not strongly condemning the Israeli attacks on Gaza, Obama has, in my opinion, "wimped out" of the present situation and sent a fairly clear signal to the Israelis that he will continue the US of policy of support for everything that Israel does (no matter how horrendous, unjust or illegal).
