that's right. As I said during the election, Obama is smarter, saner, and more sophisticated than Dubya or McCain or Palin, while his election was a blow against racism (and a symptom of past success of the anti-racist movements). But he's mostly representing the more far-sighted sector of the capitalist class, aimed more at serving the collective interest of that class instead of the short-term goals of small sectors of it. In foreign policy, he aims for a more multilateral foreign policy than Bush's "we're in charge" policy, but still he's within the normal scope of imperialism.
