Obama and McChrystal meet in Copenhagen.
This reminds me of Truman meeting MacArthur on Wake Island during the
Korean War.
According to a news account I saw, McChrystal "had business in London"
and so deigned to meet the President in Copenhagen. Why didn't Obama
tell him to report in Washington for a conversation?
The generals may be building to a showdown with the president, to
assert superiority in decision making.
Truman subsequently fired MacArthur. I hope Obama is ready to seize
the opportunity to be Commander in Chief.
