Not always. He was once some kind of leftist, it seems, and he helped
create that delusion. He really did know Bill Ayers in some sense,
went to Jeremiah Wright's church for a long time, and went to a
Socialist Scholars Conference or two. As Glen Ford of the Black Agenda
Report, who's watched him for a long time, puts it, he knows the music
in our heads. Obviously that's changed, and he's now indistinguishable
from Clinton, but the history's there.
