I know a man who does special effects for stage shows, and occasionally sound mixing for movies who is Mac only in hardware, but uses them with every kind of software. Some of them are running Apple software only, some dual boot, and he has at least ten Macs that are running Wndows 7, with the Apple software completely wiped. Plus one with a Linux dual boot. He is mildly liberal, has no political feelings about computers, and simply uses whatever works for what he wants to do. But sticking to Apple hardware saves him labor costs. BTW, on one occasion, he ran the lighting, sound and special effects for a show on a fancy cruise ship using an ipad 90% of the time and a Macbook air the other 10%. (Plus the specialized equipment - but the Ipad and the air were his only general purpose computers. )
