This is just too bizarre. In this IZA discussion paper, subsequently published in the May 21010 Economic Journal, Gilles Saint-Paul, "analyzes" the selection bias that produces a faulty left-wing ideology among French teachers because (to make a long story short) their jobs are "protected and in the public sector." This makes it hard for people to learn that the market economy is good ("under the assumption that it is") and prevents them from "learning the correct underlying parameters."
The Sandwichman notes an egregious factual discrepancy on page 326 (of the EJ version) that reveals the author's ideological selection bias. http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=1486970 video of the lecture: http://res.fileburst.com/video/2009/saintpaul.html -- Sandwichman
