Jim, OJ had beaten his wife bloody, and was driving to Mexico with a beard "piece' and a bag of cash. You'd have to be crazy not to think he was running from having beaten and killed his wife. Maybe he was covering for his son; still he was clearly guilty of something. Of course Fuhrman may well have framed a guilty man.and perhaps OJ suffered from and still suffers from some kind of rage associated with head trauma. The police report you forwarded states clearly that Zimmerman followed Trayvon without telling him who he was was on either of the two occasions that they spoke (first when Z was still in his car; second in the open confrontation). Zimmerman followed the boy without identifying himself. Of course he would not have done so if he did not have a gun and think that he could take the boy. Otherwise Zimmerman would have remained in his car and waited for the police to handle it. That's what the police asked him to do. What poor Raghu does not understand is the reason for imprisoning him--it's to send a message for all the wannabe cops patrolng their gated communities not to profile and provoke innocent black men and create situations in which violence is a likely outcome. Such behavior is a serious threat to the safety of black men. LR
