I met a student of California College of Arts and Crafts, who graduated this
June with a BFA. I was sunning myself on the front porch. He asked if I wanted
fifty pounds of terracotta clay. I said no, but I would like to see it. He
showed me two stiff plastic bags. It was obvious the school had given him
useless shit. It had dehydrated and needed to be soaked. I explained how to do
this. He just stared at me as if I was making it up.
I asked if he ever worked with clay. No. He had never worked with clay. He
didn't know what an armature was or how to build one.
It really doesn't matter anymore. There is no higher education, so there is no
point in saving it. Sayonara motherfucker.
Yours
CG
