Great blog entry. I am going to start reading their book soon all the way through (I found very interesting the NBER paper on the historic importance of the Atlantic trade). Any recommendations for reviews? I didn't find Fukuyama's that interesting. He thought that they had a great unacknowledged debt to Douglas North and that they did not do good job accommodating recent Chinese growth in their argument for the importance of open institutions.
