it's true that 8+ percent unemployment makes job-creation a "huge"
issue (not only for politicians but for those on the left). But we
should remember that almost any government program creates jobs."Job
creators" (rich people) create jobs, but then again, so does
working-class spending (due to the multiplier & accelerator effects).
We can't forget the importance of the _kind_ of spending done: no
spending can be justified on the basis of job-creation alone.
