The conceptual model is heating or cooling a part of an enclosed gas (perfect gas) and waiting until the temperature resettles to a new state of plus or minus X degrees. Then there is the problem of radiation... The same mathematics are used for cosmology which tends to explain why the universe started as a big bang as if it was an IPO. All this is completely shit and needs deep and thorough re-thinking.
