On today's media and the conditioning of our minds. Comments. Julio H

------------

So I am reading Troksky's History of the Russian Revolution, and beyond being
stunning history, it is noteworthy that every faction had a newspaper and their
newspapers printed the speeches of their political meetings. Trotsky uses these
materials to follow the course of events, along with his own personal knowledge
of events from the `inside' and as much archival materials as he can find.

Of course media creats our minds, since the media amounts to our eyes and ears
of the outside world. All I really know on my own is the backyard, my books,
and a few friends. The rest is media..

You and others on the list are better connected than me, so I certainly use
your insights, depend on them, trust them. Trust but verify and the
verifications are nearly always supportive.

Yes, I have certainly gone off with too much internet..who wouldn't in the
breathless events in Egypt.
