Sorry I must have missed something - what concrete significant gains were made with this strike? You do realize that they have effectively spent a huge amount of political capital now that will quite likely mean no strike for another generation.
And any suggestion that Lewis got rolled in Springfield is specious. She is a sharp tongued race baiting ideologue with three decades of political experience behind her. Or was she naive too when she allied herself with the Children's Brigade (aka the ISO) to take over the CTU? Part of her ideology by the way is to support the relativist CCSS so it is not at all clear that CTU or CORE was opposed to all of SB7. Is it any wonder there are reports that the AFT had to step in and cut this thing off before it got completely out of control? Of course the AFT has no serious answer for the assault on teachers and schools from the right and the p.c. left.
