pen-l rule 37C: don't have a sense of humor (or affect that
appearance) if you (think you) disagree with someone.

pen-l rule 3.141592: make blanket generalizations about the opinions
of entire classes of individuals, e.g., those in academia.

BTW, I haven't had time to make any serious comments on pen-l for
awhile so I'm just having fun in the interstices. I'll be back.
