Coase's story is interesting.  Yes, he was very conservative.  Robert
Leeson makes the case that he was responsible for the establishment of the
Chicago School.  George Stigler was skeptical about Coase's social cost
paper, but changed his mind when he realized that the paper could lend
Chicago a scientificity that it had previously lacked.
