------ What does it mean for the "economy to recover"? By what standard do you claim that there _needs_ to be a recovery? That anything needs to be 'recvered'? What's wrong with a large reserve army, workers pacified by austerity, high profits, brutal control over or indifference to protest? It seems to be the best of all possible worlds. It conceals what has happened and is happening to mislabel it as a "recession" and a "weak recovery." It's as though in 1940 pundits had tried to analyze the failure of Germany to preserve Belgium independence.
