Basically international travel is just disease pen. This points to a possible lawsut for health and safety standards that should include more room, more food, and better design. The last time I flew I got a monster flue and ended up in the hospital. The same thing happened to my former boss who really had a bad time that took weeks to recover. It's the same general consequence that cramming domestic chickens and ducks into pens creates the environment for disease. Well, if we had regulated air travel it would be simple enough to impose health and safety as well as reasonable comfort standards and be done with the nightmare of air travel on long distant flights. Being crammed in one position can also cause blood clots. Also flying is very greenhouse gas intensive. Regulations that made flying healthier would also make it more expensive - which might be a good thing.
