Piketty quoted in NY Times interview: "Is there a politically feasible antidote? Professor Piketty notes that the standard recipe - education for all - is no match against the powerful forces driving inherited wealth ever higher."
Piketty in his book: "To sum up: the best way to increase wages and reduce wage inequalities in the long run is to invest in education and skills." (p. 313) To be fair, the book quote is about wage inequality, not the larger inequality of inherited wealth. But he does say endorse education as the best way to increase wages. _______________________________________________ pen-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l
