I've been around Pacifica for 20 years. It's been one long decline with brief periods of stasis - punctuated disequilibrium, or something. The governance structure, with local boards elected by listeners who don't know any of the issues or candidates and boardmembers with no radio or management skills and no capacity to raise money, is insane.
