I happen to be in a conference on ecological debt right now, and this doesn't begin to capture the problem of unequal ecological exchange, Doug. There are entire systems of looting, power structures and vast Northern consumption privileges, extending far beyond profits and capital stock. I haven't seen the book but I'm guessing that even rudimentary eco-social qualifications to bourgeois statistics aren't adequately incorporated, are they? I hope I'm wrong.
